Orange Bank
Orange Bank S.A., Sucursal en España, is a company created in 2019 by the operator telephone company Orange, as a subsidiary of Orange Bank, which provides its services financial institutions in France since 2017. Orange Bank in Spain was created as an initiative to establish a architecture of banking services easily extensible and extrapolated to others countries. Orange Bank contracted Autentia to provide the necessary technical support and lay the foundations for that new banking services architecture in 2018 and help to the development and standardization of a way of working, relying on them.
The Challenge
Define and build the technological bases.
In-Talent has been part of the Orange Bank Spain project almost since its inception providing support at many different levels and where a profile has been needed technical, appropriate to our knowledge and the needs of the bank, in each moment. In this sense, the Orange Bank project has been a challenge in itself because there were not many previous conditions and there have been no inherited components, the boot was literally a blank sheet of paper. From providing the technical vision in the supplier selection processes, until the construction of the artifacts that serve as the basis of the architecture of the banking services complying with European regulations for new means of payment, through development support in the technical teams that have been formed, Autentia has actively participated in the project, in all its phases.
The Solution
Architecture bank microservices oriented.
Due to the tight deadline for production, a development model was sought that will promote the delivery of all equipment in parallel, minimizing blockages and interdependencies. This model is based on a microservices architecture with communication asynchronous events, trunk based development, automated construction and deployment of software and infrastructure, continuous delivery and simplicity. Much emphasis has also been placed on maintaining quality through metrics, reviews crusades and, above all, tests: unit, integration, acceptance and E2E.
Results
They have forged ones good foundations and a common culture to be able to continue building with autonomy and confidence.
From the architecture chapter the common libraries and ways of to work, applying it together with the squads to a proof of concept that exceeded expectations. From there, the main role of Autentia has been to develop functionalities from within teams, acting as technical leaders and promoting and fostering the principles and Orange Bank securities. We believe that we have achieved the objective of disseminating experience and knowledge for what Orange Bank continue your journey with confidence and autonomy.
